The Service Honor Certificates and Plaques with Project Awards were given to the owners, hosted by Turkey Chambers and Stock Exchanges Union (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and with the participation of Vice Presidency of Turkey Fuat Oktay and Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan the Chamber Conference Hall.
Mehmet Şahin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange had the opportunity to contact with the Minister Ruhsar Pekcan over the issues due to the recent fluctuations in domestic flour prices, the Ministry of Exports made changes in the Export Regime Decision and introduced a new regulation for the export of flour other than Inward Processing Regime (DIR). He presented his detailed report on the problems experienced with the Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan
In the detailed report presented to the Minister, President Şahin underlined what the Ministry of Commerce abides to ensure the stability of domestic flour prices, to protect our consumers and to prevent speculation and said that regulation is temporary and will be terminated after price stability. Unfortunately, this practice continues the 60 percent decrease on the production of flour producers in the production of flour exports. He mentions that If this application is not terminated, the approach of July, which is the wheat harvest season, will be difficult for the farmers to sell wheat and supply and demand, as our industrialists will not be able to purchase wheat from our farmers.
President Şahin added that the export of flour based on imported wheat would cause the grievances of our farmers and conveyed that the export of domestic wheat flour as it was before was their greatest expectation and wish.
