The promotion meeting of Mardin Food Analysis and Trade Capacity Project, which was developed within the scope of project support of The Tigris Development Agency, was held in the conference hall of the Tigris Development Agency.
Mardin Governor and Deputy Mayor of Mardin Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Yaman, Dicle Development Agency Secretary General Yilmaz Altindag, Mardin Ak Party Provincial Chairman Faruk Kılıç, Mardin Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mehmet Ali Tutaşı, Mardin-Şırnak Chamber of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Advisors Hamit Durgan and members of our Commodity Exchange attended the Promotion meeting of Mardin Food Analysis and Trade Capacity Project at the Tigris Development Agency Conference Hall.
At the opening speech, the President of the Board of Directors of Mardin Commodity Exchange Mehmet Şahin said “Mardin Food Analysis and Trade Capacity Development Project was launched as Mardin does not have any infrastructure for food analysis in the province, despite the fact that most of the agricultural products produced in Mardin are exported. In the process of exporting the products, there are problems in the control stages and time losses in cases requiring re-analysis. In the marketing of farmers producing agricultural products, serious income losses are experienced with the application of traditional wheat market. In cooperation with the Tigris Development Agency, it is planned to establish the infrastructure of the Modern Commercial Building with the Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange New Service Building and a training center and a conference hall for the training of farmers with a Food Analysis Laboratory, Auction Hall and Electronic Sales System. With this project, the quality of the products of the farmers, traders and industrialists will be determined in the auction hall with high software and hardware technology in an objective, open and reliable manner and through electronic commerce, by providing access to the Licensed Warehouses and national and international markets. Eventually, the Commodity Exchange will be ensured to become a center of attraction. More importantly, in this way, the real value of the product will be reflected on the market and will contribute positively to the development of the region for agriculture and economics.
