“Southeastern Region Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Accreditation System Benchmarking Workshop” took place via the collaboration of Mardin Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange, Kızıltepe Chamber of Trade and Industry, Nusaybin Commodity Exchange, Nusaybin Chamber of Trade and Industry) with TOBB was held at Mardin Erdoba Elegance Hotel.
Besides Mardin’s Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, the following participated the program hel between the 5th and the 6th of November: Adıyaman Commodity Exchange, Batman Commodity Exchange, Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange, Şanlıurfa Commodity Exchange, Gaziantep Commodity Exchange, Nizip Commodity Exchange; Adıyaman Chamber of Trade and Industry, Batman Chamber of Trade and Industry, Diyarbakır Chamber of Trade and Industry, Şanlıurfa Chamber of Trade and Industry, Siirt Chamber of Trade and Industry, Gaziantep Chambers of Trade and Industry and Nizip Chamber of Trade and Industry.
Through the program, Chamber and Commodity Exchanges had the opportunity to exchange information and compare their updates and practices. Within the frame, the following presentations were made:
Our President of Board of Directors Mehmet Şahin who evaluated the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Accreditation System Benchmarking Workshop said “As for the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges as well as Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange, Kızıltepe Chamber of Trade and Industry, Nusaybin Commodity Exchange, Nusaybin Chamber of Trade and Industry, the Southeastern Region’s all Chambers and Commodity exchanges got together in Mardin and held our workshop. We are happy to have this Accreditation Benchmarking Program here in Mardin. The aim of Benchmarking is to see whether we provide 5-star facilities. Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange provides a 5-star, A-class service. It’s our purpose for all Chambers and Commodity Exchanges to provide an A-class service.”
The workshop also included good practices about Mardin. Mardin City and Districts’ Chambers/Commodity Exchanges’ Academic Consultant Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Behzat Ekinci from Mardin Artuklu University FEAS Department of Economics gave a presentation about the good practices. In this frame, he also gave updates about the common meetings, the joint project team and foreign exchange programs.
The staff and executives from the mentioned Chambers and Commodity Echanges said the workshop's content is intense aand they benefited greatly, they also said it was fruitful to hold similar organizations through collaborations.
