YÖREX 9TH Local Products Fair was opened with the ceremony held at Antalya Expo Center. With the support from the Union of Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges and by Antalya Commodity Exchange, TURKPATENT President Prof. Habib Aslan and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the fair. Secretary General Abdulkadir Şahin and Vice Secretary General Metin Sert represented Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange.
M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who spoke at the fair, said “The 40 percent of the geographically-indicated products are registered by chambers and commodity exchanges. Geographical indication means richness. To be rich, protect and brand them. The YÖREX fair also became colorful with the stands from the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of TOBB. Many visitors paid great interest to the stands of the fair between 24-28 October and Hisarcıklıoğlu reminded the fair participants to register the products and bring them to life. He stressed that the number of products registered by the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges were more than 150.
Our President of Board of Diretors Mehmet Şahin, who commented on the fair, said “Our members’ show great effort to introduce our products to the world. They participated as a big group in the world’s largest food fair SIAL in France’s capital city Paris. Kızıltepe Red Lentils, Mardin Bugur and our Pasta was introduced at YÖREX Fair and their quality was appreciated by the visitors. We wish for the best and will continue to introduce and advertise our products at national and international fairs. “
Mardin, Batman, Siirt and Şırnak attended the YÖREX Fair from the TRC3 Region and their stands which were thanks to the collaboration with the Tigris Development Agency were paid with genuine interest by the visitors and other attendees.
