TÜRİB Deputy General Manager Necla Küçükçolak, Licensed Warehouse Manager of Turkish Grain Board (TMO) Gökhan Gürbüz, Chairman of Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DTSO) Mehmet Kaya, Chairman of Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Trade Engin Yeşil, Diyarbakır Agricultural Chambers Heads, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Rural Services Department Head Mustafa Korkutan, the Secretaries of the Commodity Exchanges of the surrounding provinces, Representatives of Public and Private banks, Licensed Warehouse Managers in the region, Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange Board of Directors, Council Members, Producers and Investors as well as Secretary General of our Commodity Exchange Abdulkadir Şahin and Deputy Secretary General Metin Sert attended the informative seminar in Diyarbakır.
Engin Yeşil, Chairman of the Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange, who made the opening speech of the meeting in the DTB conference hall, said they engaged in stock exchange activities to ensure that the main purpose and scope of activity of TÜRİB as to carry out electronic transaction bills based on electronic product bills and electronic transaction bills established by licensed warehouse operators within the framework of the relevant legislation. Yeşil added “Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange is one of the founding partners of TÜRİB. As TÜRİB began operations in 2019, the products included in licensed warehouses in Turkey are known to be easily bought and sold with certificates of electronic licensed products. Both legal and real persons can be of them. Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange is TÜRİB’s agency here in Diyarbakır. Anyone who wants to register to the system can come to our Commodity Exchange and get detailed information about the system. The aim here is to ensure the protection of farmers and investors from serious price changes during periods of supply changes”.
After the opening speech, the presentations were made by the Head of Licensed Warehouse Office of Turkish Grain Board on the activities of the warehouse and TGB; on the activities and operation of TÜRİB, TÜRİB bulletins and price analysis by the Deputy General Manager Necla Küçükçolak and finally Ziraat Bank Regional President Fersend Adıyaman made a presentation on Ziraat Bank's activities in that regard.
