One of the leading issues that small and mid-sized enterprises face is the certification of their product and service quality within the intensive market competitive conditions. The certificates that show how the quality of products and services in the market differs determine the profitability and performance efficiency. Another important point for certification is the regulative obligation for products and services from now on. The enterprises might come across with big penalties in the event that they do not obtain those certificates. These penalties not only costs money but loss of prestige and bad reputation. KOSGEB, which takes the issues above into considerations and offers solutions with various support programs according to SMEs’ needs, presents the support of certification to enterprises. Financial support is given for Accreditation certificates on products, systems, staff and laboratory from companies/corporations accredited by Turkish Accreditation Association (TÜRKAK) as well as Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS) certificate to be taken from any certification office accredited by TÜRKAK. The support is given regardless of the application to the companies for the certificates and the payments made, but for the certificates within the spatial validity of the program. System certificate support is not given to enterprises on the condition that the same system certificate was taken on any field beforehand. The upper-limit for the support is 2.500 TL and the total limit of the support program is identified as 10.000 TL.
