With the collaboration of Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange and Zümrüt Fair and Organizations, the 3rd Magrotex Mardin Agricultural Equipment, Food and Livestock Fair (MAGROTEX 2016) was held between April 21-24 2016 at Movapark Fair Ground with an opening ceremony.
Hosted by our Commodity Exchange, Mardin Vice Mayor Bahattin Çelik, Mardin Municipality Co-President Ahmet Türk, Kızıltepe District Governor Ali Güldoğan, Iraqi Federal Kurdistan Regional Government Minister of Agriculture Abdülstar Majid, Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange chairman of Board of Directors Mehmet Şahin, representatives to the chambers, numerous businessmen and representatives to the institutions attended the opening ceremony of the Food and Agriculture Fair.
Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange President made the opening speech and said the electric disruption during wheat’s full fertilization period caused the infertility and DEDAŞ wreaked havoc on Mardin’s economy.
President Şahin said “The electric cuts during wheat’s full fertilization period brings infertile production. DEDAŞ’s such practices wreak havoc on Mardin’s economy. Electric cuts for Mardin and surrounding villages are unacceptable. This practice should end immediately and healty and necessary energy should be provided. Electric distribution should be in government’s control and agrarian irrigation should depend on a different pricing and make cheaper. Our farmers headstrongly keep on producing in spite of the unjust practices and contribute to the city’s and consequently country’s economy and create a big employment.”
President Şahim stressed that a fair ground should be constituted in Mardin and said “for the sector-based fairs in following years, we will be expecting a worthy fair ground for Mardin, the city of civilizations. The needed steps should be taken as soon as possible.”
President Şahin wished his best for the fair and bring luck to Mardin and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization.
After the opening ceremony, the invitees visited the local and national firms’ stands and wished that everything would go well.
Our Commodity Exchange’s stand which was opened with soup treat made of Kızıltepe’s red crusted lentil took the visitor’s great attention.
Besides, our Commodity Exchange’s pasta and bulghur producer members also served some samples of their products to the visitors at their stands.
