Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed the geographical indications enabled the local meet the world and said “this huge organization built a new awareness in terms of development. It widened an accurate horizon for affinity. This organization’s mastermind deserves a big applause. Antalya CE President Ali Çandır came up with an idea and turned it into a project. He succeeded admirably country-wide. That’s it to be an entrepreneur and visionary. I am proud of President Ali Çandır. He received the largest support from our Chambers and Commodity Exchanges. Here we host more than 120 Cambers and Commodity Exchanges. I pay a lot of attention to that, because if we do not adopt our values, others come and do so. Our Chambers and Commodity Exchanges both protect their local products and support YÖREX. They get the products geographically indicated and add them to their cities’ value.
Hisarcıklıoğlu reminded YÖREX is an act of vision and ADDED “Antalya did an important job; they have been serving successfully for years. The seed they threw on flourished. Hundreds of products which they added to the economy have become a hope. With YÖREX, our KOBI’s both exhibit and introduce their products and create business contacts with firms. This year, a magnificent fair has taken place. Anatolia’s spirit, identity and diversity have gathered here.”
Various local products from all around Turkey gathered at the 8th Local Products Fair (YÖREX) held in Antalya. We as Kızıltepe Commodity Exchange and Tigris Development Agency (DIKA) participated as well.
We helped advertize the firms’ products which operate in our city and the districts and introduce products which are geographically indicated candidates from our region within the Geographical Indications project such as the world’s highest quality lentils Kızıltepe lentils, Mardin bulgur and pasta produced from Turkey’s best durum wheat , Mardin almond candy and Mardin dibek coffee. With great interest and attention, countless chambers, commodity exchanges and guests had the chance to taste our high quality products such as lentils, bulgur and pasta.
We would like to thank DIKA Secretary General Yılmaz Altındağ for our Mardin booth installed with the support of Tigris Development Agency, Abdülkerim Öter from Öter Agriculture, Mustafa İlhan from Marima Pasta and Mardin Bulgur Producers Association President Faysal Sun for their contribution while serving the products advertised at our booth.
